Data Analytics Fundamentals is our in-person 6-week part-time introduction course on essential data analytics concepts where you will learn how to work with complex data in an fun and engaging way.

Our graduates are all taught how to work comfortably with raw data. These vital analytical and visualisation skills of data analytics are what distinguishes them from those who take regular data analytics courses in Singapore – which focuses on curriculum completion in the shortest time possible.

Throughout our 12 sessions, you will learn seven key technical concepts: Analysis, Databases, Visualisation, Software, Dashboards, Machine Learning and Data Mining.

We’ll build real-world examples, learn data analysis techniques, and have hands on experience across software like Excel, Tableau and SQL – all the building blocks that you will need to set you apart as a manager that can work easily with big data.

‍In-Person Data Analytics Course For Beginners

Data Fundamentals employs a flipped classroom meodel where you complete facilitated self-learning before class and then engage in group exercises during class. Our short courses aim to introduce the basic elements of understanding data and thinking about how it should work in a short amount of time.

Instead of focusing on platforms like Excel, SQL and Tableu, our foundational courses teach universal data concepts by using our own “sandbox” environment. This means that you’ll get hands on practice and experiment within your own teams without the fear of breaking anything.

Using project and mastery based learning, our students incrementally learn data analytics through fun game-based mini projects.

Can I learn data analytics on my own?

Yes you can! However, learning data analytics on your own will require a lot more self discipline and dedication than learning with a class of fellow students and dedicated instructors.

Is data analytics a hard course for beginners? Are there any prerequisites?

Our Data Fundamentals Course is a completely beginner-friendly course which aims to build a strong foundation in working with data.

We welcome all students from any background to join us!

What career opportunities are available after completing a data analytics course?

Potential Career Pathways: Data Analysts, Data Scientist, and more. But this requires more advanced skills and experience! Our course simply aims to set a foundation for students.

Be Wary of The Potential Risks of Overpromises: Many bootcamps and courses may overpromise the results they can deliver. This can include assurances of high-paying jobs immediately after completion, guaranteed employment, or an unrealistic level of expertise in a very short time. It's important for prospective students to approach these promises with caution. Researching a bootcamp's track record, reading alumni reviews, and understanding the current macro-economic conditions and employment statistics of past students can provide a clearer picture of what to expect.

Is this course eligible for SkillsFuture subsidies?

Yes, this course is eligible for SkillsFuture subsidies. Singaporeans can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset the course fees. On top of that, Singaporeans and PRs are also eligible for up to 70% course fee subsidies with the remaining being able to be offset from their SkillsFuture Credit account.

Does this course teach R Programming?

Unfortunately, we do not cover R in this course. But rest assured, we cover all the essential skills required for building a strong foundation in Data Analytics.
